General Sales Manager

Rich Broadcasting is looking for a General Sales Manager, who exhibits strong leadership skills with a proven track record of sales to oversee all sales and promotional initiatives for its Idaho stations. As the General Sales Manager, you will identify and develop revenue and marketing opportunities from within the South Eastern Idaho market and work in tandem with appropriate department managers to benefit Rich Broadcasting as a whole.

Our ideal Executive/Sales Assistant is someone who holds the world’s record (or pretty close to one anyway) for being organized and highly detailed oriented!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Protect the Rich Broadcasting brand, create innovative sales proposals and propel the success of the stations in the market
  • Protect the FCC license of the station • Hire, train and maintain high-performing, effective sales and promotions staff to achieve sales budgets and outpace the market
  • Supervise the execution of all sales initiatives • Develop sales and promotional initiatives that increase revenue for the station
  • Give fast, accurate information to assist local, national, regional, digital, and non-traditional revenue sales efforts
  • Develop marketing opportunities for station to facilitate audience growth and market presence
  • Recognize the value and need for digital media to provide greater solutions for advertisers
  • Manage and maintain the sales budget for the station
  • Represent Rich Broadcasting in the highest regard within the community and business environmen
  • Must be able to develop and maintain effective communications with both internal and external business partners
  • Work in compliance with company policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Work Experience Required

  • A minimum of 3 years management experience in advertising and/or marketing Preferred, But Not Required
  • Experience working with radio stations or other media • Experience with streaming media technology

Skills & Abilities Required

  • Must be able to develop and maintain effective communications with both internal and external business partners
  • Proven networking abilities in the South Eastern Idaho market and surrounding areas
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Flexible with hours and weekends
  • Practice strong business ethics
  • Proven leadership qualities

Education Require

  • High school diploma

Preferred, But Not Required
     • Bachelor’s degree in Business and or Marketing, or equivalent experience

FLSA Status: Full-Time Exempt
